SCOPE OF WORK

The Service Associate at Dot’s Café is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests, and assisting in the smooth operation of the cafe. This role involves a combination of front-of-house duties, including customer service, order taking, and serving food and beverages, as well as back-of-house support, such as maintaining cleanliness and inventory management.

Customer Service
• Greet and welcome customers promptly with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Assist customers in making menu selections and provide recommendations based on their
preferences.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.
• Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction.
HR Responsibilities
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Provide feedback to management on staff performance and customer feedback.
• Assist in the training and on-boarding of new employees.
Financial Responsibilities
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.

General Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring the café operates smoothly at all times.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations by conducting regular inspections and audits.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ensure timely ordering, and minimize waste by tracking stock usage and ensuring product freshness.
  • Collaboration with Kitchen Staff, Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food and beverage service that meets quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized café, including dining areas, service counters, and storage spaces.
    Customer Service Excellence

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to Dot’s Café’s recipes and standards.
  • Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain knowledge of different coffee blends, origins, and brewing methods.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all beverages.
  • Greet customers warmly and provide prompt and friendly service.
  • Take customer orders accurately and provide recommendations based on preferences.
